Complete Denture

Full Dentures

A full denture is a removable appliance replacing all of the natural teeth from the upper and lower gums. They are generally made from acrylic resin (a durable plastic). Every denture made at our clinic is customised to the patient´s mouth. We offer a wide variety of teeth to suit individual needs. All dentures can be repaired and relined for a comfortable fit.

Partial Dentures

We are able to provide three different types of partial dentures to suit your individual needs

Acrylic Dentures are suitable in situations where more natural teeth are likely to be lost, or when budget is a major factor. Acrylic dentures are held in place by metal clasps anchoring onto your remaining natural teeth. Metal dentures are, in most cases, vastly superior and a lot stronger than an acrylic partial denture, but are also more expensive.
Metal Dentures can be retained to natural teeth by either metal or clear clasps.

Nylon Dentures are a metal free option where both the clasps and denture are translucent. These dentures are ideal for patients who are conscious of clasps showing when talking and smiling. Nylon dentures, however, are not suitable for all patients.

Immediate Dentures

Immediate Dentures are required when some or all remaining natural teeth need to be removed.

Before an immediate denture is undertaken, a thorough consultation with both the dentist and dental prosthetist is required to explain the entire process.

Implant Over Dentures

Implant over dentures assist with the stabilisation of your full or partial denture, providing increased chewing force and reduced tissue irritations. They are designed the same way as normal dentures, however implant attachments are added to the fitting surface of the denture, allowing it to be secured to bone implants. The patient would be examined by our Implantologist to see if they are a suitable candidate for the titanium screws to placed into the bone.

Denture Repairs

Denture repairs can often be done in a couple of hours depending on the degree of difficulty and our work load. We do our best to save you the embarrassment of going without your teeth any longer than you need.

Professional Mouthguards

Custom made mouthguards are designed to fit the teeth and gums closely with comfort and protection for the patient. Not only do they help minimise dental injury, they can also reduce the severity of concussion whilst playing contact sports. Our mouthguards allow you to speak and breathe easily, giving you greater security when wearing them.

Professional Denture Cleaning

If you have difficulty in cleaning your dentures, we can provide a thorough clean for you here at our surgery. It will only take a few hours for us to re-polish your dentures, giving them a brand new appearance. We also offer an affordable brush and denture cleaner to help maintain the condition of your denture.

Tooth and Clasp Additions

If you currently have dentures and need to have teeth extracted, it is usually possible to add a denture tooth/teeth or clasp to your existing plate. These additions can be performed promptly either before or after the extraction occurs

Relines restore the fitting surface of your old dentures and adapt them more closely to your gums. This can help stabilise the denture and improve suction, as well as fill in areas that trap food particles.

Rubber Base (Soft Liner)

A soft liner is placed in the lower denture base that contacts with tissues and gums. This provides comfort and support for patients experiencing considerable pain while wearing a denture. Replacing the hard interface of the lower denture with a soft liner helps ease painful tissue compression.
